Clip ("Service") prioritizes user privacy. This privacy policy explains how Clip collects, uses, and protects user information.

1. Core Principle

Clip has no servers. All data is stored locally on your device or in your own Google Drive that you connect. The developer (susupod) cannot access your clip data.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Data We Store (Local Only)

• Clipped text, images, and page content
• Tags, notes, and highlights you add to clips
• App settings (theme, language, etc.)

This data is stored in your browser's IndexedDB and is never sent to our servers.

2.2 Google Drive Backup

If you use the Google Drive backup feature, your clip data is stored in your Google Drive's Application Data folder. This folder:

• Can only be accessed by Clip
• Is not visible to other apps or users
• Counts toward your Google Drive storage quota

2.3 License Information

When you purchase a Pro license, payment is processed through Lemon Squeezy. We store your license key and email address for license verification purposes.

2.4 Analytics Data

Clip may collect the following anonymized usage statistics:

• App version and browser information
• Feature usage frequency (non-personally identifiable)
• Error reports (automatic error tracking via Sentry)

This data is used solely to improve the service and cannot identify you personally.

3. Information We Don't Collect

• Your clip content (text, images)
• List of websites you visit
• Browsing history
• Personal identification information (except for license purchases)

4. Data Security

• All local data is stored in your browser's secure storage
• Google Drive backups are encrypted in transit via HTTPS
• License verification is performed through secure APIs

5. Third-Party Services

Clip uses the following third-party services:

• Google Drive API: For backup functionality (only with your consent)
• Lemon Squeezy: For payment processing
• Sentry: For error monitoring

6. Your Rights

• Data Access: All data is on your device, so you can access it anytime
• Data Deletion: Uninstalling the extension deletes all local data
• Data Export: You can export all clips in JSON format
• Withdraw Consent: You can disconnect Google Drive at any time

7. Children's Privacy

Clip is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, we will notify you through in-app notifications or email. Significant changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance.
